About the Coach

My name is Sam Johnson and I am the lead coach here at Head Start. I am 23 years old and currently completing a degree in Sports Science at St Mary's University, Twickenham, UK.

In total, I have been running for over 12 years and during my time at St Mary's, I have been lucky enough to train with a number of national and international level athletes as well as a world class coach in Mick Woods. Mick coached me for my first 3.5 years at St Mary's, bringing me personal bests from 1,500m all the way up to 10,000m and now I want to pass on what I have learnt to you! 

Being in this environment for this long helped me to develop a passion not only for self-improvement, but also a passion for helping others improve.
